🌎Get Net Zero Ready: Advanced Building Sciences

The City of Ottawa’s Better Homes Ottawa program is excited to offer another round of net zero training in collaboration with Homesol Buildings Solutions and the Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association. 

This training is open to Ottawa-area residential building professionals (including trades, home renovators, and home builders) and will support the City’s goals of increasing the rate of retrofits across Ottawa’s small residential building stock. Those who complete all sections of the training will be featured on the Better Homes Ottawa website.

The Advanced Building Sciences course covers the fundamental elements of building science as it relates to energy efficient construction. It examines key topics in the construction of high performance homes, and provides a solid foundation for other ENERGY STAR training. 

This course is a prerequisite should you wish to participate in the Net Zero Builder and/or Net Zero Reno Trainings being offered in this training series. This 2-part course is being offered virtually and there is an exam required to acquire this certification, the passing grade is 75%. 

ABS Course fee: $50.00 + HST per participant.
