About

Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology was established in 1967 and was named after the First Nations people who lived in the area. The College celebrates over 50 years as a leader in post-secondary education and has undergone significant growth since its establishment and continues to grow today.

The Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence

Located on the Ottawa campus, the Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence offers a number of trades, design and apprenticeship programs — many of which were developed to Red Seal Program standards. Our one-of-a-kind innovative building provides a space for industry, faculty and students to work together under a single green roof to implement sustainable building practices and technologies.

Algonquin College Heritage Institute

Located on the edge of the historic town of Perth, the Heritage Institute offers the intimacy of small classes and a warm environment. This campus delivers programs in Heritage Carpentry, Masonry and other building trades.
