At Christie Lake Kids (CLK), we believe that every child deserves the chance to thrive. We are a local charitable organization that provides free, year-round programs for children and youth living in low-income households across Ottawa.

For over 100 years, our mission has been simple: To support children and youth from low-income households by providing programs that develop physical, social and emotional skills. We deliver year-round recreational and leadership programs at no cost with barriers to participation removed.

Through our after-school and weekend programs, leadership training, and summer camp, we focus on building skills, resilience, and confidence. Every activity, from sports and arts to cooking, robotics, and outdoor adventure, is designed to give kids the tools they need to reach their full potential.

What makes us unique is our commitment to accessibility. We situate ourselves in communities where children and youth have little to no access to programs and we provide everything our kids need, meals, equipment, supplies, and transportation, all at no cost to families. This ensures that nothing stands in the way of a child’s ability to participate.

Each year, hundreds of children and youth find a safe place at Christie Lake Kids where they feel supported, connected, and empowered to create brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
