Description

The GOHBA Mentorship & Education Committee is proud to present Jeff Hurdis (Lagois Design Build Renovate)  as part of the 2026 Webinar Series.

What you'll learn from this session:

  • How Net Zero principles can be applied to renovation projects, even when working with existing conditions, older construction, and real-world budget constraints.
  • Why the design and planning stages are critical to improving energy performance, comfort, durability, and long-term value.
  • Common lessons learned from past renovation experience, including what works well, what can create challenges, and where early coordination can prevent costly issues.
  • How to communicate the benefits of Net Zero and high-performance renovation to homeowners in a practical, non-technical way.
  • Why builders, renovators, designers, and trades should be moving toward better-performing homes now, rather than waiting for future code or market pressures
