The GOHBA Mentorship & Education Committee is proud to present Michelle Crogie of Pleo – Parents' Lifeline of Eastern Ontario for this month's webinar. 

Join us for an informative webinar on the supports available for parents and caregivers who are navigating children's and youth mental health and addiction challenges. This session will explore the impact these challenges can have on families, introduce the role of family peer support, and highlight free resources available through Pleo to help caregivers feel connected, informed, and empowered.

  • Gain an understanding of the mental health and addiction challenges affecting children, youth, young adults and their families in our community.
  • Learn how family peer support helps caregivers navigate complex systems and reduce isolation. 
  • Recognize signs that an employee or colleague may be supporting a family member in crisis.

  • Explore how employers can foster psychologically safer and more supportive workplaces for families.

Meet the Speaker:

Michelle Crogie, Executive Director (Pleo – Parents' Lifeline of Eastern Ontario)

Michelle Crogie is the Executive Director of Pleo – Parents' Lifeline of Eastern Ontario, a registered charity providing free family peer support to parents and caregivers of children, youth, and young adults facing mental health and addiction challenges. With more than 30 years of leadership experience in community services, early childhood education, and family support, Michelle is a passionate advocate for family voice, mental health awareness, and system collaboration. She also teaches in Algonquin College's Bachelor of Early Learning and Community Development program and serves on numerous community and sector leadership tables. Michelle brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work, helping families feel connected, empowered, and supported during some of life's most difficult moments.
